About the Butterfly Books

Little Mi Mi's Magic Eyes is part of the Butterfly Books series. The Butterfly Books series are values-based children's books inspired by true stories. This is a landmark Asset Based Community Development (ABCD) project by Air Amber and The Early Childhood Development Centre (ECDC) in Kathmandu, Nepal. The books have been masterfully and creatively crafted together with the community of youth and children living in ECDC and the Butterfly Home.

In Nepal, children of incarcerated adults with no legal guardians are sent to prison with their parents. ECDC rescues these children from prisons across the country and provides an opportunity for them to be kids. As young children who were in unfortunate circumstances, the Butterfly Books authors have grown to become active contributors to the community. They would now like to share their stories with the world in hopes of inspiring others to live, learn, and grow with love!
